Molly Weigel, PhD, LCSW
When we have for so long been judged by everyone we meet, just to look into the
eyes of another who does not judge us can be extraordinarily healing.
Jack Kornfeld
We all have the capacity to heal and grow regardless of age or depth of emotional pain. Often we get stuck within patterns of thinking, feeling, relating, and body experience that we needed once but that no longer support growth and change. My goal is to work with you so that together we can identify these patterns and find new ways of being in the world that help you create lively experience and a meaningful life.
I work with you as a whole person, respectfully and nonjudgmentally. Together we build a relationship of trust within which you can feel safe to explore, experiment, heal, and rediscover your own strengths. I have a warm, engaged, and empathic style and I like to focus on the present moment as a source of experiential learning and change. Body, mind,
and spirit are all involved in the process.
I anchor myself in Gestalt therapy's interpersonal and experiential approach. To this I add a variety of tools from an eclectic mix of approaches, including EMDR, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic, solution-focused, somatic awareness, mindfulness, attachment, and structural dissociation therapies. I want to understand where you are coming from, including how your culture shapes who you are.

you are a creative or academic writer who is feeling stuck.
